The institute is imparting training and information to the sugarcane growers regarding new varieties of sugarcane, water management, use of organic fertilizer, pest control, mechanization in harvesting etc. in collaboration with the University of Agricultural Sciences, State Agriculture Department and various other agencies involved in sugarcane cultivation.

Training programmes are also regularly conducted for the benefit of technical officers and employees of sugar factories to enrich their knowledge.
